Rosewood Chantry

Jake visits the Tremere Chantry, but has trouble even getting through the front door. The Tremere watch him from a distance, and finally Jake passes their test. Inside, he meets the Regent, who wishes to commission a piece of artwork. The Regent gives Jake free run of the Chantry as he leaves to attend to some business with Hasan. Jake can tell instantly that the two dislike each other intensely. He meets a few of the local Kindred, such as thin-blood Cassandra Firelli, and the creepy child vampire, Miss.
After nearly coming to blows with upstart Tremere Jonas Creed, Hasan drives Jake home from the Chantry. Along the way, he lists off the reasons he hates the Tremere, and why Jake should not trust them. When the subject gets to the Salubri, Hasan encourages Jake to read a book on the subject; a book currently stores in Seavers & Smythe Rare Books.
After plenty of briefing, Hasan takes Jake to the rare book store, at which point they happen across Mr. Seavers, the Kiasyd. Jake successfully manages to hold a conversation with the vampire without having his arms torn off. Hasan assures him this is a major accomplishment.

The British Malkavian

Jake is introduced to Pockets, who is delivering his new identity. After a brief chat, Jake receives a call from the Prince's ghoul, requesting an immediate audience. Since Pockets lives at the Alhambra, Jake is given a ride there. Inside, he meets Jean Cormier, the Tremere Regent, and Jacob Holloway, the Prince. Before he leaves, the Regent extends an invitation to Jake to visit the Chantry tomorrow night.
The Prince interrogates him on the incidents of the previous night, and once the formal business is concluded, informs Jake of some of the finer points of the Kindred world. He offers Jake a well-paying job as a mechanic at the Alhambra, and gets to work building him an auto shop on the premises. Jake doesn't seem to realize that this is a less-than-subtle attempt to keep Jake under close observation.
